Horsing around!!!
Les and two of the boys were at scout camp, leaving Dee alone with Matthew to tend all of the animals. "Storm", one of our horses got his hoof caught in the fence in the middle of the night. Dee had to cut the fence apart with wire cutters to get his hoof out. This made for a long night for Dee and Storm. Storm is way okay now!!!
The Cove!!!
The boys got to spend the afternoon at "The Cove" in Sierra Vista last week! There are water slides, a wave pool and lots of diving.....(Oh and lots of babes!!!) Mattew passed the swimming test and now is free to roam wherever he wants in the pool area without having limitations. Way to go Matthew!!!

June in the desert!
The month of June represents the end of the school year! This makes for 3 happy young men at the Greer home!!!
With summer, we greet, rattlesnakes, chores, more rattlesnakes, lots of desert heat, scorpions, cactus' prickles, scout camp and more rattlesnakes. (eeeeeeck!!!) Luckily the hero of the family (Les) has beheaded 2 with his bare hands (and the help of his trusty-always-with-him pocket knife) right in front of a trembling Dee!!! What a great man! :o)
For family home evening a few weeks ago, we planted 40 tomato plants, peas, green beans, squash, cucumbers, melons and corn. Oh and LOTS of sunflowers. We hope to see the fruits of our labors in a few months.
Meanwhile, we are thoroughly enjoying the apricots from our orchard! We have eaten many and made quite a bit of jam. Peaches and pears are next!!!!
